■ Driver Adaptive HMI System
A Simulator demo which the drivers’ state (stress level) is continuously monitored as to pupil, line of sight, heart rate, and CAN data, to reflect HMI style suitable for each driver.
■ Linkage
A tool set for efficient HMI development from the upstream processes to the mass production development. Workable on design tools commonly used by designers and engineers.
■ Linkage + VR
A VR cockpit demo that allows to verify and evaluate usability of HMI developed with “Linkage” within the VR environment.

We will be exhibiting at “Automotive Engineering Exposition 2017” in Yokohama, May 24-26, 2017

We will be exhibiting at “Automotive Engineering Exhibition 2017”, at PACIFICO YOKOHAMA in Yokohama, for three days from Wednesday, May 24 through Friday, May 26, 2017.

We will show demonstrations using a driving simulator, in which the drivers’ driving consciousness is judged using “TRITO Comperio” and HMI is modified in real time based on the result.
In addition, we will exhibit “TRITO Linkage”, an HMI development tool which corresponds to VR for the first time.

A New Screen Transition Feature “Screen State” is Now Available for TRITO Linkage as an Option.

We are happy to announce the release of “Screen State,” an optional feature to “TRITO Linkage” launched in January 2017, which allows users to create screen transitions.

The screen transition creation feature has been achieved using the technology provided in CATS’s “ZIPC Designer.”

Now, it becomes possible to create screen transitions that is linked to GUI screen developed with TRITO Linkage without coding. This further allows users to efficiently develop GUI and to prevent screen transitions from missing to be added to GUI.

Hirotaka Suzuki, CTO of sdtech, will give a presentation at the seminar event “Fly High! Future Car!!” hosted by Response by IID, Inc. for “8th Automotive Telecommunication Technology Tokyo” held at Tokyo Big Sight from March 15 through March 17.

The topic of presentation on March 16 is “Self-Driving”. Suzuki will give the presentation from a design-engineering perspective, which is sdtech’s specialty.

We will collaborate with ACCESS Co., Ltd. to provide solutions which increase the efficiency of onboard infotainment development supporting the next generation HMI

sdtech will collaborate with ACCESS Co., Ltd. (“ACCESS”) which leads the network software market. ACCESS’s mobile software has been implemented on more than 1.5 billion devices, and its network software has been used by more than 300 telecommunication device manufactures. By packaging ACCESS’s browser technology and sdtech’s HMI development tool, we jointly provide solutions which increase the efficiency of IVI development.

sdtech is Releasing TRITO® Series, Products that Had Been Under Development Since its Founding Today.

Today, we are excited to announce the release of products which we have been developing since the company was founded in 1995.  With the release, we are confident that our mission to “develop products that will be appreciated for many years to come” will make a leap forward.

Below are TRITO® series officially released on January 18, 2017.

We will be showing demonstrations at “Automotive World 2017 / Connected Car EXPO” held at Tokyo Big Sight from January 18 through 20. We hope you will take this opportunity to visit our booth to view our demonstrations.

We will provide data and API for "Web & Car Hackathon 2017" hosted by KDDI Research, Inc.

The Web & Car Hackathon aims at creating and developing of applications and services linking the Web and cars in the age of connected cars. The event will be held for two days from January 28 through January 29, 2017. A prize equivalent to 200,000 JPY will be granted as the grand award. Last year, the total of 11 teams and 50 designers/developers participated in the event.

We are developing solutions to recognize the drivers’ driving conditions and to analyze the trend based on the driving information from CAN system and the human body information captured with sensing technology. With this technology, we are taking initiatives to provide optimum HMI for each driver.

For this event, we use this technology and provide data obtained by determining the conditions of drivers based on biometric information.

We hope the participants can use this data to create service contents which can generate new driver experience.

sdtech team won the grand award at "Embedded Technology & IoT Technology 2016: Embedded IoT Hackathon" for two consecutive years

Our Seven Business Days team presented on the theme of “Anger Ball, a next-generation communication tool” for development and a business model at “Embedded Technology & IoT Technology 2016: Embedded IoT Hackathon” held from November 16 through November 18, 2016, and won the grand award.

This event takes initiative to utilize and realize IoT service, in which specified type of emotion (emotion of a user) can be provided using specified attribution (data attributes to be used) in the situation (usage) randomly assigned to each team for the given task persona.

Our Seven Business Days team were assigned the following conditions:

  • Restriction 1: Situation: Quarrel/Reconciliation
  • Restriction 2: Emotion: Serenity
  • Restriction 3: Attribution: TI accelerometer and Gyroscope

and won the grand award.

We will demonstrate the cooperation between our “TRITO Linkage” and ZIPC Designer (model-based development tool supporting state transition design) at CATS’ booth during “Embedded Technology & IoT Technology 2016” held at PACIFICO YOKOHAMA for three days from Wednesday, November 16 through Thursday, November 18, 2016. Our demonstration shows screens developed with TRITO Linkage and the state transition defined with ZIPC Designer, for which the operation can be verified on a PC without describing the source codes.

One year and several months have passed since the start of sdtech. We renewed our Website so that you can understand us better.

sdtech became Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) member

sdtech Inc. became a working group member of Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) founded by Linux Foundation.
AGL is a collaborative open-source development project by Linux Foundation to build Linux-based common software stack for connected cars "bringing together automakers, suppliers and technology companies to accelerate development and adoption of a fully open software stack for the connected car" and "developing an open platform from the ground up that can serve as the de facto industry standard to enable rapid development of new features and technologies.”

At the event, we will be showing demonstrations of several applications created with “TRITO Linkage”, our HMI development environment, by running them on QNX. Each application (meter, audio, vehicle data, etc.) runs on QNX independently and simultaneously. We will demonstrate the mechanism (TRITO Window Manager) which controls display window locations of these applications.
We are also planning to show demonstrations of the application created with TRITO Linkage linked with CATS’ ZIPC Designer (model-based development tool for state transition) by running it on QNX as collaboration demonstrations at CATS’ booth.*

We will exhibit collaboration products with partner companies as well as our own products developed for on-board devices.

sdtech team won the grand award at "Embedded Technology & IoT Technology 2015: Embedded IoT Hackathon"!

“Embedded Technology & IoT Technology 2015” was held from November 8 through 20. In the awards ceremony that took place in the afternoon of the last day, November 20, sdtech won the grand award for one of the exhibition event “Embedded IoT Hackathon”.

This event was held aiming to explore and nurture “Embedded IoT talent” who can lead the embedded system industry in the future as well as to look for new possibilities and direction of the embedded system, which is changing in the IoT era (Planned by ET Executive Committee; Chair of Embedded IoT Hackathon WG: Seiko Shirasaka, Associate Professor, Keio University). The task was disclosed in the morning of Wednesday, November 18, and the time given was 50 hours. Ten teams participated in this event competing against each other with ideas and development skills.

For the event which lasted three days, the participants were required to describe the development goals and implementation means using GSN (Goal Structuring Notation). Randomly chosen strict conditions were also assigned to the participants, in which the participants were required to use specified items and not to use other specified items. Under the assigned conditions, “to use Stream Analytics for data analysis” and “not to use smart phone and tablet,” we won the grand award.
